Clinicians As Effective Researchersevaluate journal quality by its editorialoffice, publishing, and distributionfactors; read the instructions to authorscarefully; and novelty, creativity, andlevel of interest are important factors.The abstract you submit must have allkey findings and elements listed; checkfor methodological quality; registerhuman studies/clinical trial; placeyour findings in perspective; ensureclarity of presentation; avoid paucityof data; check the appropriateness ofthe statistical methods; emphasizethe clinical significance of the study;and, most important, do not getdisheartened if you receive a rejection.The rate of acceptance in high-impactjournals can be as low as 10-15% of allsubmissions.
