! As the MAX-1000 calibrates itself, the screen displays the CALIBRATING --PLEASE WAIT message.! For best results, the unit should not be moved, jarred, or otherwise disturbed inany way during this calibration time.! As soon as the calibration is complete, the screen prompt asks that the 20 gramweight be removed. If the weight is recorded as -20.000 + 0.003 mg, thecalibration passed and the MAX-1000 is ready for use. If the weight is recordedout of this range, then the calibration is unsuccesful. In this case, rerun thecalibration. If the calibration fails again, then contact AZI Customer Service,(800) 235-3360 or (602) 470-1414.7.5 SETUP MENUThe SETUP MENU is used to programthe MAX-1000 with information relevantto all operations and test. (To changeparameters specific for an application seethe section on the “Param” key (page 45)or on the MEMORY START MENU(page 25). To enter the SETUP MENU,select that selection on the MAINMENU and press the “Selct” key.The next screen shown is the SETUPMENU.Figure 40 SETUP MENUFrom the SETUP MENU it is possible tochange the printer setup, set the clock,change the access codes, customize thedata screen, and enter or edit a companyname. connected (IBM or Epson). Select thetype of printer you have by pressing the“Edit” key.The same key will now be the “Incr”key. Press it to change the displayedname from IBM to EPSON.If the display is EPSON, Press the“Decr” key to change the displayed nameto IBM. When the correct printer nameis displayed, press the “Accpt” key. First move the selector bar toOUTPUT PORT and press the “Edit” key.Then “Incr,” or “Decr” until the correctselection is displayed.Move the select bar to AUTO FORMFEED and press the “Toggle” key, toselect between OFF and ON. If AUTOFORM FEED is selected, the printer willadvance to the top of the next page (do apage eject) after each report.
