In the case of Dynamic Path Selection, it is because theproperties are shared by all cameras.With dynamic archiving (see "About archiving" on page 118) paths, you specify a number of different archivingpaths, usually across several drives. If the path containing the XProtect Express database is on one of the drivesyou have selected for archiving, XProtect Express will always try to archive to that drive first. If not, XProtectExpress automatically archives to the archiving drive with the most available space at any time, provided there isnot a camera database using that drive. Which drive has the most available space may change during thearchiving process, and archiving may therefore happen to several archiving drives during the same process. When the new path is added, you can select itfor use as a dynamic archiving path.Add the path specified in the New path field to the list.Remove a selected path—which has previously been manually added—from the list.
