Chemical storage. A ll pools shall have an adequate, safe and secure designated storagearea for pool chemicals. If us ed, dedicated chemical storage rooms m ust ha ve ve ntilationwith one air change every three minutes exhausted to the exterior away from occupied areas.Chemical vaults or storage containers must not allow a person to enter inside.l.) Fail-safe feature. The entry door shall open to the exterior of the equipment room or enclosureand shall be kept locked except for servicing the pool equipment. A pproved overhead protection s hall b eprovided to completely cover the entire equipment room or enclosure.b.) Ventilation and drainage. Above gr adeequipment rooms or e nclosures shall ha ve either f orced draft o r cr oss v entilation. B elowgrade equipment rooms or enclosures shall have stairway access and forced ventilation. Theopen area for cross ventilation shall be calculated as at least five p ercent (5%) o f the totalwall area of the enclosure. The total cross ventilated area shall be comprised of a louveredopening or louvered door and an additional louvered opening on at least one other side of theenclosure.
