Interactive play devices shall be designed, installed, and maintained so that thesurfaces are smooth, self-draining, non-toxic and easily cleanable. The devices shall not posea health or safety hazard to users or bathers, and shall not interfere with the circulation ordisinfection of the water.b.) Circulation. A ny apparatus, device or equipment that discharges water into the pool orthat uses the pool as a source of water for the operation of the device shall either use onlywater t hat ha s be en filtered a nd di sinfected p rior t o be ing di scharged into a pool , or s hallhave a separate disinfection system for the device approved by the department.
