PRMSwas used to simulate 265 mi 2 of intervening drainagearea (28 percent of <strong>the</strong> basin). Statistical results indicatean absolute error of 7.2 percent <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> calibrationperiod <strong>and</strong> an absolute error of 7.1 percent <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> verificationperiod, with a bias error of +2.5 percent <strong>for</strong>both periods (table 12). Water-use in<strong>for</strong>mation fromBroad <strong>and</strong> Collins (1996) indicate that <strong>the</strong> annual consumptionin <strong>the</strong> basin <strong>for</strong> 1990 was about 60 ft 3 /s <strong>for</strong> allwater uses, which is about 6 percent of <strong>the</strong> summertimeflow of <strong>the</strong> Clackamas River at its mouth. Althoughwater consumption is small <strong>for</strong> this basin compared too<strong>the</strong>r Willamette River basins, it still may account <strong>for</strong><strong>the</strong> positive bias of <strong>the</strong> simulation.39
