The student’s advisor willdetermine the applicability of this requirement. An additional 3 hours of PSFT 470 maybe taken as an elective. Students with two or more years of professional experience inpublic safety may take PSFT 470 as elective hours to a maximum of 6 credit hours. Allstudents must have completed PSFT 260 and ORGL 315 and have junior status to be eligibleto apply for PSFT 470. It is the student’s responsibility to find a field experience site.At least 8 weeks prior to beginning the semester in which the field experience is planned,the student must have the site approved by his/her faculty advisor. Field experience maybe done in the fall and spring semesters or during summer session 1. PSFT 470 requires15 hours per week at the field experience site.
