The Department offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Informatics with concentrationsavailable in the following tracks: Health Information Technology, Web Developmentand Human-Computer Interaction, or General Informatics. The Department also collaborateswith the Public Safety program to offer a minor in Digital Forensics.Department GoalsStudents will be exposed to a learning environment that is structured to allow themaccess to multiple resources inside and outside of the classroom. Jones, InstructorMission StatementThe Bachelor of Science in Informatics offers students the opportunity to study howinformation is effectively processed within the context of various academic disciplines andpractical vocations. The major includes a common core of 33 hours plus one of the threealternative tracks with 15 hours each. These tracks are Health Information Technology,Web Development and Human-Computer Interaction, and General Informatics.
