Determ<strong>in</strong>e the weight and configuration of the load(s) to be lifted.2. Determ<strong>in</strong>e the type of cha<strong>in</strong> sl<strong>in</strong>g required, accord<strong>in</strong>g to weightand configuration.3. Determ<strong>in</strong>e the size of the body cha<strong>in</strong> accord<strong>in</strong>g to the work<strong>in</strong>g load limits.Be sure to take <strong>in</strong>to consideration the effect of the required angle.Work<strong>in</strong>g Load Limit: The work<strong>in</strong>g load limit is the maximum load <strong>in</strong> poundswhich should ever be applied to cha<strong>in</strong>, even when cha<strong>in</strong> is new, and whenload is uniformly applied <strong>in</strong> direct tension to a straight length of cha<strong>in</strong>.4. Determ<strong>in</strong>e the reach required to give the desired angle. The reachis measured from the upper bear<strong>in</strong>g surface of the master l<strong>in</strong>k to thebear<strong>in</strong>g surface of the lower attachment. If cha<strong>in</strong> <strong>sl<strong>in</strong>gs</strong> are to be used<strong>in</strong> pairs & are to be matched for reach, please <strong>in</strong>dicate when order<strong>in</strong>g.5.
