It is certain that this is Samuel Bryan (2) as Newton Edney, Thomas Allenand Zachariah Allen were shown owning land next to the parcel that SamuelBryan (2) purchased in 1808. Assuming that Henry would have to be eighteento be listed in this tax list, Henry Bryan was born prior to 1794 in NorthCarolina. On January 3, 1835, Henry M. Bryan was mentioned as owning landadjacent to land being sold by his brother, William P. Bryan. This deed statesthat William P. Bryan sold 70 acres of land to Philip Cloud (?) of WilliamsonCounty, Tennessee “touching (the) west corner of Henry M. Bryan.” OnDecember 5, 1838, Henry M. Bryan purchased 50 acres of land from his brother,William P. Bryan, in Davidson County, Tennessee for $500. On January 15,1839, Henry “Morrow” Bryan sold 50 acres of land to Joseph F.
