Everett was born on November 20, 1912 on hisparent’s farm in Washita County, Oklahoma. Everett attended Pleasant ValleyGrade School, Elk City High School and Canute High School. On January 25,1941, Everett Brooks married Edna Fay Reynolds. Edna Fay is the daughter ofJohn Reynolds and Verna Reynolds. Everett and Edna Fay Brooks were theparents of one son:. . . Robert Conrad Brooks, b. January 5, 1942, Elk City, OklahomaEverett and Edna Fay Brooks lived in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma from 1943 to1948 where Everett worked for Meadow Gold Diary. Everett ran his parent’sfarm for many years. In 1960, Everett and Edna Fay Brooks were divorced.Upon the death of his mother in 1961, Everett purchased the farm and continuedfarming until his death. Everett Brooks died on October 20, 1973 in OklahomaCity, Oklahoma and was buried in the Canute Cemetery. Conrad Brooksgraduated from Elk City High School in 1962. Birch and her twin sister, Bernice, were born on May1, 1919 on her parent’s farm in Washita County, Oklahoma. Birch and Berniceattended Elk City High School where they graduated in May of 1937. Birch wasthe Elk City High School pianist and had a bi-weekly radio program for threeyears at KASA radio station. In the fall of 1937, Birch and Bernice Brooksenrolled at Oklahoma A. & M. College (later changed to Oklahoma StateUniversity). After two years, Birch received an Associate Degree in BusinessAdministration. After a third year in college, Birch left school and became alegal secretary for Judge Linville in Elk City, Oklahoma. Birch later worked forthe Production and Marketing Association in Stillwater, Oklahoma. On March8, 1946, Birch Brooks married Ralph Stanton Blair. Ralph was born onFebruary 16, 1915 in Elk City, Oklahoma and is the son of Mortimer WendellBlair and Sylvia (Nix) Blair. Ralph graduated from Elk City High School in1933 and served as a Sergeant in the Air Force during World War II, beingstationed in the South Pacific. Ralph worked as a salesman for a wholesalecompany out of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Ralph and Birch Blair were theparents of one son:. . . Stanton Gregg Blair (5.6.1), b. July 11, 1948, Elk City, OklahomaRalph and Birch Blair lived in Elk City, Oklahoma. Ralph Blair died of a heartattack on July 16, 1965 and was buried in the Elk City Cemetery. Birch workedas a secretary for eleven years at Clinton-Sherman Air Force Base near Clinton,Oklahoma. During the closure of the base, she was transferred to Tinker AirForce Base in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. On December 6, 1969, Birch(Brooks) Blair married Master Sergeant Wilson Edward Voorhis, Jr. at Tinker
