Ella was born on April 11, 1887 in Williamsport,Tennessee. On September 4, 1924, Ella Bryan married married William GroverCleveland Evans in the home of her parents at Williamsport, Tennessee.Cleveland Evans was born June 29, 1885 in Aiken Ridge, Tennessee and is theson of James A. Evans and Mary Catherine (Letsinger) Evans. Cleveland waspreviously married to Elsie Oera Puckett who died early in 1924. Cleveland andElsie were the parents of three children: James Carl Evans (born November 2,1911, Oklahoma), Oera Marie Evans (born May 14, 1917, Williamsport,Tennessee, Eska Catherine Evans (born July 26, 1919, Santa Fe, Tennessee).Cleveland Evans’ sister and her husband, Ethel and Will Roach, were appointedas guardians and raised the two girls. James Carl Evans went to western Kansaswhen he was 17 and became a cattle rancher. Cleveland and Ella Evans werethe parents of two children:. . . John Grover Evans (3.6.11.1), b. After the war, he was a salesman and partsman for International Harvester Machinery Company. In February of 1946, JohnGrover Evans married Beverly Brannon in Rich Hill, Missouri. November 30, 1956, El Dorado, KansasJohn and Beverly Evans were divorced in 1959.
