David worked for many years in Baker inthe lumber business which he took over from his father. In April of 1969, hebecame a radio announcer at the Baker station, KBKR, where he worked untilhis retirement. David was elected to the Baker City Council in 1950 and servedfour years. He served in various positions in the church, one being a HighCouncilman for sixteen years.
