Dale managed a ranch in North Dakota for three years and thenmoved to Minnesota for a year. He then moved to Boerne, Texas where heworked with registered Hereford show cattle. In 1960, they moved to Stonewall,Texas where Dale was manager of the LBJ ranch (President Johnson’s) fortwenty years. Jewel worked as secretary for President Johnson from 1969 to1973.
