<strong>BRYAN</strong> <strong>FAMILY</strong> <strong>HISTORY</strong> 8-209AMANDA M. <strong>BRYAN</strong> (2.3.6) is the daughter of James T. Bryan and SarahBryan. Amanda was born on January 5, 1834 in Tennessee. On April 3, 1853,Amanda M. Bryan married Robert Teas in Maury County, Tennessee. Robertwas born on February 22, 1832 on Hurricane Creek in Humphreys County,Tennessee and is the son of James Teas (1775 - 1846) and Anna (Gilmore) Teas(1786 - 1850). From 1860 to 1870, Robert and Amanda were living inHumphreys County, Tennessee. During the Civil War, Robert Teas served forfour years in Company F, Tenth Tennessee Cavalry Regiment in the ConfederateArmy in Captain Hobbs unit. Robert and Amanda Teas were the parents of atleast seven children:. . . Sarah Ann Teas, b. 1854, Humphreys County, Tennessee. . . Eliza Snow Teas (2.3.6.2), b. 1858, Humphreys County, Tennessee. . . Roberta Louella Teas (2.3.6.3), b. 1860, Humphreys County, Tennessee. . . James Joseph Teas (2.3.6.4), b. September 24, 1864, Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. . . Francis Marion Teas (2.3.6.5), b. June 15, 1867, Humphreys County, Tennessee. . . William Samuel Teas (2.3.6.6), b. 1869, Humphreys County, Tennessee. . . Florence Teas, b. 1876, Humphreys County, TennesseeRobert and Amanda Teas left Humphreys County, Tennessee in the late 1880’sand moved to Oil Trough (Elmo), Arkansas to live near their children who hadmoved there earlier. Amanda (Bryan) Teas died on July 6, 1897 in Oil Trough(Elmo), Arkansas and was buried there. Robert Teas died on December 12,1899 while visiting his son, Francis, in Denison, Texas and was buried there inthe Oakwood Cemetery. On July 6, 1872, Sarah Ann Teas married Jack R.Jackson and they lived in Elmo, Arkansas. Sarah married a second time toWilliam G. Height. John was born on June 14, 1841 in Williamson County,Tennessee and is the son of Daniel Smith and Martha (Ragsdale) Smith. Johnand Eliza Smith were the parents of four children:. . .
