There are conflicting accounts of Charlotte’s middle and last name.A 1948 letter from Robert E. Bryant states that “Samuel Bryant marriedCharlotte Greyer Charter.” According to “Marriages of Davidson County,Tennessee,” Samuel Bryan married Charlotte Charlton. A 1947 letter fromCornelia (Moore) Redfield states that “Samuel married Charlotte G. Charter.”The book, “Century Review of Maury County, Tennessee,” shows that WilliamDeMoss Bryan’s mother was Charlotte G. (Charter) Bryan. Several familygroup sheets by Martha (Mobley) McGill show that Samuel Bryan marriedCharlotte Greer Charter.According to a 1957 letter from Martha (Mobley) McGill, Charlotte Charter hada sister named, Ellen.
