Ifyou do not specify a node name with the nodename option, the default login IDis the name that the hostname comm<strong>and</strong> returns.v The initial password you want to use, if required.v Contact in<strong>for</strong>mation, such as your name, user ID, <strong>and</strong> phone number.Your <strong>Tivoli</strong> <strong>Storage</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> administrator defines the following <strong>for</strong> you:v The policy domain to which your client node belongs. A policy domain containspolicy sets <strong>and</strong> management classes that control how <strong>Tivoli</strong> <strong>Storage</strong> <strong>Manager</strong>manages the files you back up <strong>and</strong> archive.v Whether you can compress files be<strong>for</strong>e sending them to the server.v Whether you can delete backup <strong>and</strong> archive data from server storage.Using open registrationWith open registration, a system administrator can register your workstation as aclient node with the server.The first time you start a session, <strong>Tivoli</strong> <strong>Storage</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> prompts you <strong>for</strong>in<strong>for</strong>mation necessary to register your workstation with the server identified inyour client options file.
