Comm<strong>and</strong>: delete filespaceTaskDelete NAS file spaces from the dagordon NAS file server stored on theserver.Comm<strong>and</strong>: delete filespace -nasnodename=dagordon -class=nasRelated in<strong>for</strong>mation“Nasnodename” on page 352“Class” on page 277Delete GroupUse the delete group comm<strong>and</strong> to delete a group backup on the <strong>Tivoli</strong> <strong>Storage</strong><strong>Manager</strong> server.This comm<strong>and</strong> is <strong>for</strong> an Authorized User.After deleting a group, the group leader (virtualfsname) remains on the <strong>Tivoli</strong><strong>Storage</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> server. It contains no members (file or directories) but is reportedin a subsequent query filespace comm<strong>and</strong>. It will have no files listed if theshowmembers option is added. Deleting a group does not remove the file spacethat it resides in because there might be other groups in it. Use delete filespace ifyou want to remove the file space <strong>and</strong> all the data it contains.Note:1. Use the inactive option to display both active <strong>and</strong> inactive group backupversions. By default, <strong>Tivoli</strong> <strong>Storage</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> only displays active versions.2. Use the pick option to select a specific group to delete from the <strong>Tivoli</strong> <strong>Storage</strong><strong>Manager</strong> server.3. Use the noprompt option if you want to suppress the confirmation prompt thatnormally appears be<strong>for</strong>e you delete a group backup version. By default, <strong>Tivoli</strong><strong>Storage</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> prompts you <strong>for</strong> confirmation be<strong>for</strong>e deleting the groupbackup. Using this option can speed up the delete procedure. However, it alsoincreases the danger of accidentally deleting a group backup version that youwant to save. Use this option with caution.4. Use the query filespace comm<strong>and</strong> to display virtual file space names <strong>for</strong> yournode that are stored on the <strong>Tivoli</strong> <strong>Storage</strong> <strong>Manager</strong> server.Supported ClientsThis comm<strong>and</strong> is valid <strong>for</strong> all <strong>UNIX</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Linux</strong> clients, except <strong>for</strong> Mac OS X.Syntax►► Delete GRoup filespecoptions►◄ParametersfilespecSpecifies the virtual file space name <strong>and</strong> the group name that you want todelete from the server storage.Chapter 11.
