HelpUse this command to display information about commands, options, andmessages.Note: If you use the help command on the initial command line, no server contactis made and no password is needed.Supported ClientsThis command is valid for all clients.Syntax►►Helpcommand-name [subcommand-name]option nameTOC section number[ANS]message-number►◄Entering the help command with no arguments will cause help to display thecomplete table of contents. Either with the initial command or when HELPdisplays a prompt, you can enter the following parameters.Parameterscommand-name [subcommand-name]Specifies a command name and, optionally, a subcommand name or theirabbreviation, for example: backup image, orbi. In this case the combinationshould be unique. Non-unique abbreviations result in the display of the firstsection of the entire help file matching the abbreviation. This parameter isoptional.TOC section numberSpecifies a table of contents section number, for example: 1.5.3. This parameteris optional.[ANS]message-numberSpecifies a message number with or without its prefix, for example: ans1036 or1036. This parameter is optional. The severity code is never necessary. Enteringans1036E will result in a not-found response.Note: Entering arguments not fitting these descriptions can cause unexpectedresults (or no results) to be displayed. Entering more than two arguments willcause rejection of the help request. Where a command name and an option nameare the same, for example: incremental (command) and incremental (option), youcan only get help on the option by entering its table-of-contents section number.The requested help text will be displayed in one or more sections, depending onthe number of display lines available in your command window. When enoughlines have been displayed to fill the display space, or when the end of therequested help text is displayed, you see with a prompt along with instructions forwhat can be entered at that prompt. Other choices might be presented, soread the prompt instructions.Proper display of the help text requires a usable display width of 72 characters. Adisplay width less than 72 characters causes sentences that are 72 characters wideto wrap to the next line. This can cause the displayed help text to beginsomewhere within the section rather than at the beginning. The frequency attribute applies only to a full incremental backup.
