Operating the answering machine of the Twist 610 baseOperating when on the move(remote operation)You can call and activate the answeringmachine and even activate ringback fromthe answering machine with SMS fromany telephone (with voice frequency).Preconditions:u You have set a system PIN other than0000 (¢ page 66).u The phone you are using for remoteoperation has tone dialling (DTMF),i.e. you hear different tones when youpress the keys. Alternatively, you canuse a code transmitter (available fromaretailer).Calling the answering machine andplaying back messages~ Dial your own number.9~ When you hear yourannouncement, press 9 andenter the system PIN.You will be informed whether any newmessages have been recorded. The messagesare now played back. You can nowoperate the answering machine with thekeypad.The following keys are used for operation:A To return to the start of thecurrent message.Press twice to go back to theprevious message.B Stop playback. Press again toresume.3 Go to the next message.0 Delete current message.Activating the answering machine¤ Phone home and let the phone ringuntil you hear: "Please enter PIN".~ Enter system PIN.Your answering machine is activated. Ittells you how much memory time is left.The messages are now played back.The answering machine cannot be deactivatedremotely.Initiating ringback from the answeringmachine with SMS and listening tomessagesPrecondition: You must have stored anotification number (¢ page 44).You can use the telephone (mobile phoneor any other device with SMS functionality)for which you have stored the notificationnumber in your phone to send an SMSto your answering machine when you areaway from home. It will then call you back.Message playback begins when youaccept the call and press any digit key.The SMS must contain the following:***The ringback number is optional.Examples:*4711* or *4711*089123456*If a ringback number is entered, it isdialled; otherwise the notification numberis dialled.You can now operate the answeringmachine via the keypad, as described inthe previous sections.53

You will hear the networkmailbox announcement.Viewing the network mailboxmessageWhen a message is recorded, you receivea call from the network mailbox. If youhave requested Calling Line Identification,the network mailbox number will be displayed.If you accept the call, the newmessages are played back.
