Service (Customer Care)Guarantee termsThe Equipment you have bought has beencarefully selected by <strong>Belgacom</strong> <strong>and</strong> is coveredby a two-year warranty on spareparts <strong>and</strong> labor in the event of any materialor manufacturing defect, unless otherwisespecified. The warranty shall be validfrom the date on which the equipment iscollected or delivered.If you have any problems with the equipment,you should take it to a Teleboutiqueor to one of our authorized agents, in itsentirety <strong>and</strong> in its original packaging, or inpackaging providing the same degree ofprotection, together with the originalreceipt. The addresses for our Teleboutiques<strong>and</strong> authorized agents are given inthe Information Section of the WhitePages.Your equipment will be repaired orreplaced free of charge, on presentationof the receipt, in the event of any materialor manufacturing defect.<strong>Belgacom</strong> alone shall determine whatrepairs <strong>and</strong>/or replacements are necessary.The warranty on the repaired orreplaced equipment shall end on the dateon which the original warranty on the purchasedequipment expires, but shall notbe less than 3 months.The warranty shall not cover:– damage of any kind that does notpredate the sale;– any damage, faults or defects attributableto the Customer or to causesunrelated to the Equipment: lightning,power surges, humidity, accidentaldamage, improper use orpoor maintenance, failure to complywith the instructions in the usermanual, <strong>and</strong> force majeure;– the repair or replacement of movableparts (cords, wires, plugs, aerials,etc.), consumables (cells, batteries,paper, ink, etc.) needing regularreplacement <strong>and</strong> the supply ofcleaning products.The warranty shall not apply:– to any changes or repairs to the terminalEquipment undertaken by theCustomer himself/herself or throughthe services of persons not designatedby <strong>Belgacom</strong>;– if the Customer removes or tamperswith the manufacturer’s serial numbers<strong>and</strong>/or br<strong>and</strong> names on the terminalEquipment.<strong>Belgacom</strong> shall not be liable for any indirector immaterial loss sustained by theCustomer as a result of the malfunctioningof the terminal Equipment, such asany loss of production, revenue or contracts.The General Terms <strong>and</strong> Conditions forthe Sale of Terminal Equipment can beobtained on request from any <strong>Belgacom</strong>service available to the public or atwww.belgacom.be72
