Handset settingsWhen the room monitor function is activated,the idle display looks as shownbelow:i Ã VINT 1OFF07:1522 OctÁRoom Monitor0891234567OptionsChanging the set destination numberv ¢ É ¢ Room Monitor¤ Enter and save number as described in"Activating the room monitor andentering the destination number"(¢ page 60).Cancel/deactivate room monitorPress the end call key a to cancel thecall when the room monitor is activated.In the idle status press the display key§OFF§ to deactivate the room monitormode.Deactivating the room monitorremotelyPreconditions: The phone must supporttone dialling and the room monitor shouldbe set for an external destination number.¤ Accept the call from the room monitorand press keys 9 ;.The room monitor function will deactivateafter the call ends. There will be no furtherroom monitor calls. The other room monitorsettings (e.g. no ringtone) on thehandset will remain activated until youpress the display key §OFF§ on the handset.To reactivate the room function with thesame phone number:¤ Turn on the activation again and savewith §Save§ (¢ page 60).Handset settingsYour handset is preconfigured, but youcan change the settings to suit your individualrequirements.Quick access to numbers andfunctionsYou can assign a number from the directoryto each of the digit keys Q and2to O.The left and right display keys have afunction pre-selected by default. You canchange the assignment (¢ page 62).The number is then dialled or the functionstarted by simply pressing a key.Assigning digit keysPrecondition: You have not yet assigned anumber to the digit key.¤ Press and hold the digit key.orPress the digit key briefly and press the§QuickDial§ display key.The directory is opened.¤ Select an entry and press §OK§.The entry is saved on the appropriate digitkey.Please noteIf you delete or edit the entry in thedirectory at a later date, this will notaffect the assignment to the numberkey.61

This will replace the idlestatus display. It may conceal the date,time and name.The screensaver is not displayed in certainsituations, e.g. during a call or if the handsetis deregistered.If a screensaver is activated, the Screensavermenu option is marked with μ.v ¢ Ï ¢ Display ¢ ScreensaverThe current setting is displayed.¤ Change multiple line input:Activation:Select On (screensaver is displayed)or Off (no screensaver).Selection :Select screensaver or§View§sPress the display key.The active screensaver isdisplayed.Select screensaver andpress §OK§.62
