<strong>Plum</strong> A+ <strong>Infusion</strong> Systems 8- 18) Maintenance <strong>and</strong> Storage8.1 Cleaning, Maintenance, <strong>and</strong> StorageThe cleaning, maintenance, <strong>and</strong> storage of the <strong>Plum</strong> A+ aredescribed in this section.CLEANING AND SANITIZINGFor proper maintenance of the <strong>Plum</strong> A+, observe the followingcleaning <strong>and</strong> sanitizing guidelines.Establish a routine weekly schedule for cleaning the infuser. Toclean, proceed as follows:• Turn the <strong>Plum</strong> A+ off using the [ON/OFF] switch• Disconnect from AC (mains) powerThe exposed surfaces of the <strong>Plum</strong> A+ may be cleaned with a lintfreecloth dampened by one of the recommended cleaningsolutions in the following list or mild, nonabrasive soapy water.Clean the cassette door with a soft, lint-free cloth, dampened withone of the cleaning agents listed in the following table, or a mildsolution of soapy water. Use a small non-abrasive brush to aid incleaning the infusion system housing <strong>and</strong> subsystem chassiscomponents. To thoroughly clean the cassette receptacle,disengage the cassette door from the door latch by pressing thedoor release tab.CAUTION: DO NOT ALLOW CLEANING SOLUTIONS TOSATURATE THE AIR-IN-LINE DETECTORS OR ENTER THE DEVICEWHEN CLEANING THE AIR-IN-LINE DETECTORS.430-95215-003 (Rev. 10/05)
