Chapter 1Module IntroductionConstant Power Flat Mode (Optional)Variable Gain-Flattened <strong>EDFA</strong>s can optionally be operated in Constant Power Flatmode. By default, the output power is the nominal output power for the gainflattened<strong>EDFA</strong>, which is equal to the composite output power at fully loadedcondition in the Constant Gain mode.
