Checking Module Alarms using the ICIMChecking Module Alarms using the ICIMTo Check Alarms using ICIMIf the red ALARM LED on the front panel is blinking, a minor alarm condition isindicated. If the ALARM LED on the front panel is illuminated, a critical alarmconditions is indicated.Alarms fall into one of the following categories. Major low Minor low Minor high Major high1 From the MAIN menu, press the key to highlight the Shelf and Slot fields.2 Press the key to address the Shelf number. Then press the key or thekeys to scroll to the number of the desired shelf.3 Press the key. The Slot field is highlighted.4 Press the key or the key to scroll to the number of the desired slot.5 Press the key. The MODULE menu appears on the ICIM LCD.6 Press the key. Module alarm conditions appear on the ICIM LCD.7 Use the key or the key to scroll through alarm conditions until thedesired alarm is displayed.8 Monitor the alarm condition(s). Take appropriate action. Verify that all settingsand thresholds relating to the alarm indication are set correctly to rule out anunintended alarm.9 When finished, press the key to return to the MAIN menu.78-4037880-01 Rev B 61
