SASKPOWER OPEN ACCESS TRANSMISSION TARIFFSCHEDULE 6Operating Reserve - Supplemental Reserve ServiceSupplemental Reserve Service is needed to serve load in the event of a system contingency;however, it is not available immediately to serve load but rather within a short period of time.Supplemental Reserve Service may be provided by generating units that are on-line but unloaded,by quick-start generation or by interruptible load. The Transmission Provider must offer thisservice when the transmission service is used to serve load within its Control Area. TheTransmission Customer must either purchase this service from the Transmission Provider ormake alternative comparable arrangements to satisfy its Supplemental Reserve Serviceobligation. Customers making alternative arrangements will be required to provide SupplementalReserve Service in the amount of 7.0% of their reserved capacity for Point to Point TransmissionService or 7.0% of their Network Load responsibility for Network Integration TransmissionService. The amount of and charges for Supplemental Reserve Service are set forth below.Rate: $444/MW of Reserved Capacity per month. The weekly, daily and hourly delivery chargesare calculated in the same manner as in Schedule 7 and 8.Page | 95
SASKPOWER OPEN ACCESS TRANSMISSION TARIFFSCHEDULE 7Long-Term Firm and Short-Term Firm Point-To-PointTransmission ServiceThe Transmission Customer shall compensate the Transmission Provider each month forReserved Capacity at the sum of the applicable charges set forth below:1) Yearly Delivery: 1/12 of the annual delivery charge of $28,440/MW of ReservedCapacity per year.2) Monthly Delivery: $2,370/MW of Reserved Capacity per month (calculated as 1/12 ofthe annual delivery charge).3) Weekly Delivery: $547/MW of Reserved Capacity per week (calculated as 1/52 of theannual delivery charge).4) Daily Delivery: $109/MW of Reserved Capacity per day (calculated as 1/5 of the weeklydelivery charge.) The total demand charge in any week, pursuant to a reservation forDaily delivery, shall not exceed the rate specified in section (3) above times the highestamount in megawatts of Reserved Capacity in any day during such week.5) Discounts: Three principal requirements apply to discounts for transmission service asfollows: (1) any offer of a discount made by the Transmission Provider must beannounced to all Eligible Customers solely by posting on the OASIS, (2) any customerinitiatedrequests for discounts (including requests for use by one’s wholesale merchantor an affiliate’s use) must occur solely by posting on the OASIS, and (3) once a discountis negotiated, details must be immediately posted on the OASIS. For any discount agreedupon for service on a path, from point(s) of receipt to point(s) of delivery, theTransmission Provider must offer the same discounted transmission service rate for thePage | 96
