TRACK GAUGE CHANGINGFACILITIESThere are two types of interoperable trackgauges on the ADIF Managed Network:UIC Gauge (1,435 mm) and ConventionalGauge (1,668 mm).To facilitate internal connections, as well astraffic with other networks, automatic trackgauge exchanging facilities, known as TrackGauge Changers, have been developed,while other facilities allow physical gaugetransition, either through axle or bogiechanging, or through the physical changingof freight.The geographical locations of the automaticchangers have been included in Map 12,Annex G, together with track gauge informationfor each line.Container and freight changing facilities alsoexist at the lrún and Portbou border points.
