5. AUSCHWITZdering such devices before early 1943!– Since the creation of Birkenau camp in 1941, the SS garrison doctorfor Auschwitz camp was responsible, among other things, forthe ordering, administration, and use of Zyklon B and all materialsfor its handling (disinfestation installations, gas masks, HCN residuedetection devices, etc.). He therefore had three years experiencein this business. Why then should the Zentralbauleitung, which was not competent in this matter, in addition to being unauthorized, have issued the order for the procurement of HCN residuedetection devices in 1943?– In addition to crematorium ovens, the Topf corporation also producedhot air disinfestation ovens, as well as silo fumigation installationswhich were, however, not operated with HCN. 241 Whythen should the heating technician Jährling, a civilian engineer, order devices of which he had no knowledge from a firm whichobviously did not even know the supplier of the devices when thehealth service of Auschwitz camp had already been regularly suppliedwith these devices by the Tesch und Stabenow corporationsfor two years and therefore knew the supplier? There was veryprobably a supply of them in storage at the camp.It is therefore the conviction of W. Rademacher, C. Mattogno, andmyself that this reply from the Topf corporation is a forgery, in whicha word such as “Anzeigegeräte für Rauchgasanalyse” was perhapsreplaced by the word “Anzeigegeräte für Blausäure-Reste” (IndicatorDevice for Smoke Analysis by Indicator Device for HCN Residues).5.4.1.2.8. Zyklon B Introduction Holes and ColumnsFact 1: There are eyewitness testimonies claiming that there werethree or four square holes measuring 70 cm in the roofs of bothmorgues 1 of crematoria II and III.. According to some witnesses, columnsfabricated of mesh metal ran from the floor of the morguesthrough the holes in the ceiling and protruded over the roof. Zyklon Bis alleged to have been thrown into these columns for the purpose ofp. 19.241 Hydrogen cyanide would form poisonous residues with moist food. The gases Areginal andCartox were used; see also G. Kunike, Das ABC der Vorrats- und Hausschädlinge und ihreBekämpfung, Theodor Weicher, Berlin 1941, pp. 53f.113
