A plethora of proofs and expert reports that has neverbeen presented to any court of the victorious wartime Allies. And yet,the Allies’ magic words from Nuremberg, ‘common knowledge’ shouldstill apply here?” Facing the State Attorney, Schaller asked, “Supposethat we had a new government in Germany and this government wereto examine the manner in which you servants of the state are proceeding,keeping in mind paragraphs 56 and 62 through 65 of the BasicLaw. Do you think you would escape harm from the hands of the Germanpeople?” Then, facing the public: “Suppose the State Attorney hadto justify his charges against the General. Suppose a judge should askhim, what proof do you have of the existence of homicidal gas chambers?He would have nothing to show. But as of today, no state attorneyneeds to produce evidence. We have not arrived at that point yet.”Next he quoted the Jewish revisionist, Rabbi Immanuel Jakobovits,who says: “Today, there is a whole spectrum of business relatingto the Holocaust Industry, with authors, researchers, museum curatorsand politicians.” To the judges’ bench, Dr. Schaller hollered, “The realthreat to public order begins when one demands of the German peoplethat they should assume guilt for gas chamber murders.These are dangerous perversions which construe publication ofscientific investigation of alleged gas chambers as defamation and incitementto racial hatred. How does the State Attorney dispute this scientificevidence which the accused has published? He merely tells usthat we Germans should and must remain guilty as charged at theNuremberg trials following World War II. That is all.On the other hand, defense counsel have an expert witness here inthe chamber who has produced an expert report that leaves no questionunanswered. The expert witness has come to the indisputable scientificconclusion that the so-called gas chambers never came in contactwith Zyklon B gas. Never!”Schaller continued, “There sits the technical expert, who is not allowedto say a word. A scientist from the world renowned Max-Planck-Institute is not allowed to testify in a German court! And you want tosend General Remer to prison? Are you willing to accept responsibilityfor that?”367
