GERMAR RUDOLF · THE RUDOLF REPORTTable 11: Some values of the ventilation efficiency of ahypothetical homicidal ‘gas chamber’, with Zyklon B remaining in thechamber, see text. Data in minutes.Air exchange duration t (5g/m 3 ) t (2g/m 3 ) t (0.1g/m 3 ) ∫c(t) dt/10g/m 36 24 61 192 3512 56 97 228 6324 81 123 254 9096 100 144 278 118allegedly lying around on the floor, and the Zyklon B trapped underneath, will further slow the procedure to a considerable extent, so that,in relation to a hazard-free entry of the chamber, the truth will ratherlie somewhere between cases two and four or beyond them.It may be considered established that under no circumstancescould these cellars be entered without a gas mask in less than 3-4 hoursafter the beginning of the gassing. Hard physical work with gas masks, but without protective clothes, i.e., the alleged removal of the bodies, would not have been possible in less than 1 1 / 2 to 2 hours. If assuming the existence of Zyklon B introduction devices whichallowed the removal of Zyklon after the end of the gassing, the resultingdata would, of course, look dramatically different, see Table 12.Under such circumstances, it might have been possible to enter the ‘gaschamber’ with a gas mask for hard labor already after 30 to 45 minutes, and without a gas mask within one to two hours. This would thenlie at least within the range of some less extravagant eyewitness accounts. That explains also, why Pressac and van Pelt insist on the existenceof these introduction columns, contrary to all physical evidenceand despite the lack of any documentary proof and reliable witnesstestimony. Without those introduction columns, however, the scenariosdescribed by eyewitnesses regarding a swift removal of the corpsesfrom the ‘gas chamber’ after the gassing are simply impossible. These are, of course, only calculated guesses; if one were to askTable 12: Some values of the ventilation efficiency of ahypothetical homicidal ‘gas chamber’, with Zyklon B removed fromchamber, see text.
