The road, however, <strong>of</strong>fers more facilities for visitingspecial spots <strong>of</strong> interest, <strong>and</strong> enjojdng <strong>the</strong> scenery. Thereare two roads, <strong>the</strong> old <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong> new, which unite at SunnyArbour Hill, about five miles from Castle<strong>to</strong>wn. The oldroad is <strong>the</strong> more picturesque ;but it is in many places sosteep as <strong>to</strong> make it anj-thing but attractive <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> horse,whose <strong>to</strong>il is not alleviated by <strong>the</strong> possession <strong>of</strong> an appreciation<strong>of</strong> charming scenery ;<strong>and</strong>, indeed, a <strong>to</strong>wn ^^si<strong>to</strong>r, whodoes not enjoy <strong>the</strong> addition <strong>of</strong> considerable shaking <strong>and</strong>bumping <strong>to</strong> what is politely termed " carriage exercise," hadbetter for once in his life avoid <strong>the</strong> good old way, <strong>and</strong> select<strong>the</strong> new road. A good walker will be able <strong>to</strong> enjoy <strong>the</strong>" ups <strong>and</strong> downs " <strong>of</strong> life, in a stretch <strong>of</strong> six or seven miles,
