The Ballaglass Falls, formed by <strong>the</strong> riverKeuna, do not descend from any considerable height, butform a series <strong>of</strong> cascades <strong>and</strong> s<strong>to</strong>rmy little <strong>to</strong>rrents, making<strong>the</strong>ir way through openings in <strong>the</strong> s<strong>to</strong>nes. Near <strong>the</strong> fall, on<strong>the</strong> summit <strong>of</strong> a hill, is a s<strong>to</strong>ne circle, known as Castle CJioivij,which, it is generally supposed, dates from <strong>the</strong> tenth century.A good walker may follow tlie course <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> stream till hestrikes <strong>the</strong> Douglas road, <strong>and</strong> can <strong>the</strong>n make his way back<strong>to</strong> Eamsey ; <strong>and</strong> <strong>the</strong>re are also conveyances from <strong>the</strong> neighbourhood<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> glen <strong>to</strong> <strong>the</strong> same <strong>to</strong>wn. The <strong>to</strong>tal distancefrom Ramsey <strong>to</strong> Ku'k Maughold, Ballaglass, <strong>and</strong> back, isabout ten miles.TO GLEN MONA, DHOON GLEN, AND GLENCARRAN.These are three wonderfully picturesque little glens thatwere but little known till recently, when <strong>the</strong>y were openedout <strong>and</strong> roads <strong>to</strong> <strong>and</strong> paths through <strong>the</strong>m constinicted, so ar,<strong>to</strong> enable <strong>to</strong>m-ists <strong>to</strong> enjoy <strong>the</strong>n- beauties without <strong>the</strong> risk oicoming in<strong>to</strong> violent contact with trees, brambles, &c., on <strong>the</strong>way, <strong>and</strong> finishing <strong>the</strong> experiment by fracturing some part <strong>of</strong><strong>the</strong>ir ana<strong>to</strong>my upon <strong>the</strong> rocks in <strong>the</strong> pool beneath. But <strong>the</strong>yarc all so distant from Ramsey that most pleasure-seekers
