Tourists, look out, if yousee smoke rising near <strong>the</strong> junction <strong>of</strong> four cross-roads.Not very many years ago, one <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> best-known charactersin <strong>the</strong> isl<strong>and</strong> was a " fairy doc<strong>to</strong>r,"' who had a large practice ;<strong>and</strong> he is remembered by many not yet past middle age.
