Like other solid parts, sheet metalparts are modeled by creating features. Features are individual 3D shapes representingcommon mechanical design elements, like tabs and cuts, which either create materialor remove material in a part. Some features, such as tab, require an associated sketchto define the 2D profile of the 3D shape.
