Leipzig in the 18 th century: The famous restaurant Auerbachs Keller
gives you a lunch time welcome. Johann Wolfgang von Goethe was
a frequent guest of the eatery during his time as a student in Leipzig
and helped it to eternal fame with his masterpiece “Faust”. Late in
the evening the night watchman Bremme ® lights his lantern on
St. Nicholas churchyard. He leads you to his favourite spots, explains
their history in his fine Saxon accent and tells you many other
anecdotes.
