Qualification Aim
These qualifications are designed
to assist those who wish either to
set up a business enterprise or work
within the UK music industry. They
deal with all aspects of the music
industry within this context and
allow learners to gradually build up
their own plan for managing a music
business enterprise.
The qualifications are aimed at those
individuals who are starting out in
the music industry, whether it be as
a performer, a song-writer, an artist
manager, a promoter or booking
agent, or someone looking to start
a small record label or publishing
company. The UK music industry
is largely made up of such SMEs.
However, there’s limited training
available for such individuals to allow
them to have a more thorough and
targeted understanding of both the
industry itself and how to manage a
business enterprise specific to the
music industry.
