Qualification Aim
This competence-based qualification
is designed for those working in
cleaning and support services. Its
purpose is to provide accreditation to
those able to demonstrate
competence against the occupational
standards defined for cleaning and
support services at this level. It’s a
job-ready qualification which requires
learners to demonstrate, in the
workplace, the skills and knowledge
required in the cleaning industry.
This qualification is aimed at
specialist cleaners, those looking
for continuous professional
development or those who clean as
part of their job role.
This qualification also forms the
competence-based aspect of the
Intermediate Apprenticeship in
Cleaning and Environmental Support
Services (Cleaning and Support
Services Pathway).
Qualification Structure
This qualification consists of 3
mandatory units and 18 optional units.
To be awarded this qualification,
learners must successfully complete
the 3 units from mandatory Group
A plus a minimum of 2 credits from
Group B, and a minimum of 9 and
maximum of 15 credits from Group C.
