Qualification Aim<br />

This qualification is aimed at<br />

learners wishing to develop an<br />

understanding <strong>of</strong> photographic<br />

processes and the photo imaging<br />

industry for a career change,<br />

progression into self-employment or<br />

to further qualifications in creative<br />

subjects at Level 3.<br />

The qualification will also allow<br />

learners to understand how to<br />

These qualifications are aimed<br />

photographic processes. The<br />

qualifications will also allow learners<br />

to understand how to manipulate<br />

images and explore in detail the<br />

following areas <strong>of</strong> photography:<br />

• people<br />

• landscapes<br />

• events<br />

• buildings<br />

• action<br />

• close-up images<br />

• abstract images.<br />

The objectives <strong>of</strong> these qualifications<br />

are to support learners to progress<br />

either into employment or on<br />

to further qualifications at Level<br />

2 in creative subjects including<br />

photography, art and design,<br />

craft, animation and moving image<br />
