Qualification Aim
These qualifications allow learners
to gain a deeper understanding of
the role of a mentor and develop
the skills needed to become an
effective mentor. The aims of
the qualifications are to help
learners to gain insight into the
role and practice of mentorship,
be clear about mentor/mentee
relationships, ensure they follow
good practice, develop the
specific skills and understanding
they’ll require in order to mentor,
reflect on their own learning and
work performance, understand
the benefits of mentoring and
understand legal and ethical
mentoring requirements.
Qualification Structure
Level 1 Award in Mentoring
To be awarded this qualification,
learners must successfully complete
one unit from Group A and both
units from Group B.
Level 2 Award in Mentoring
To be awarded this qualification,
learners must successfully complete
all 3 mandatory units.
