Qualification Aim<br />
The NCFE Level 2 Award, Extended<br />
Award and Certificate in Preparing<br />
to Work in the Film Industry have<br />
been developed to meet industry<br />
needs by colleagues from the British<br />
Film Institute (BFI) Film Academy and<br />
Creative Skillset.<br />
The qualifications will develop<br />
young people’s interest, passion and<br />
skills to help them in their potential<br />
careers across the film industry.<br />
They will help them develop their<br />
own ideas, build individual strengths<br />
and foster their confidence to create<br />
effective working relationships.<br />
The BFI envisages that the<br />
qualifications would be delivered<br />
to 16-19 year old learners through<br />
regular weekend or early evening<br />
film courses.<br />
They will give a further entry route<br />
into the Creative Industries, and<br />
in particular progression into the<br />
Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in<br />
Creative and Digital Media.<br />

credits from the optional units.<br />
