Qualification Aim<br />

This is a knowledge-based<br />

qualification suitable for all support<br />

staff roles in schools. This includes all<br />

those involved in supporting children<br />

and young people in a school<br />

environment, such as administrators,<br />

site staff or volunteers. As it’s a<br />

knowledge-based qualification, it<br />

can be taken by learners not yet<br />

employed in a school, as well as<br />

providing initial training or induction<br />

for those new in post.<br />

Qualification Structure<br />

This qualification consists <strong>of</strong> 4<br />

mandatory units and 2 optional units.<br />

To be awarded this qualification,<br />

learners must successfully complete<br />

the 4 mandatory units and at least 3<br />

credits from the optional units.<br />
