Das Dienstleistungsgewerbe ist der größte Jobmotor
der regionalen Wirt schaft.
The service sector is the largest job creator in the regional economy.
BUSINESS RELATED SERVICES: SIMPLY INDISPENSABLE
What do an accountant’s firm, a caretaker service and
a computer service business have in common? They
all belong to the services sector. And they all belong
to a booming branch – worldwide, and also in the
Oldenburger Land. After all, every successful industrial,
construction or trading company needs helpful service
partners to lend a hand. They have become simply
number of service companies in the region of Oldenburg
Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) has increased
employed in this sector. That is about one third of all
services employees, although overall Oldenburg only
provides about 20 percent of all jobs in the Oldenburger
Land. Numerous service companies have also settled in
the commuter belt around Oldenburg. And the Tech -
Wilhelmshaven is home to several call centres with a workforce
of more than 2,000 employees working as service
providers.
The services sector is a highly heterogeneous branch of
the economy. In terms of employee figures, about two
thirds in the Oldenburger Land work in the sector for
administration, health and personal services such as home
nursing services. Business-related services are the second
