Ein weiteres und nachhaltiges Wachstum des
Dienstleistungssektors ist programmiert.
Further sustained growth is programmed for the services sector.
FiberGrass International in Wildeshausen, which produces
professional golf courses made of fibre grass for customers
all over the world and meanwhile leads the market at
least in Germany. Or Lager 3000 in Wiefelstede, which
acts as an “external specialist department” by taking
care of record and data archive management for banks,
authorities, courts, insurance companies and trading
and industrial businesses. And finally, there’s also ESCON-
Marketing in Emstek, Germany’s largest agency for equestrian
events.
CCI Services CEO Havekost sees the Oldenburger Land in
a good position overall when it comes to business-related
services. As elsewhere too, the branch has an SME structure
and meanwhile features service providers representing
all major sectors. Furthermore, business-related service
providers are relatively crisis-resistant and thus a “sustainable
branch”, as she puts it. “Industrial companies are often
tied to just a few products. When they don’t go well, this
causes problems. On the other hand, service providers can
often switch their contents around to try something else”,
adds Wellmann. What’s more, here in the Oldenburger
Land these are often small companies that can react
more quickly to new trends than large businesses. “If
you’re innovative and creative, you’ll keep on finding yet
another market niche”, agree Havekost and Wellmann.
