COURSE: PREPARING TO WORK WITH CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE LEVEL 2 NAME: ALISON I AGE: 42 ‘I chose to study the Level 1 Caring for Children and then progress onto the Level 2 Preparing to Work with Children and Young People as when I was younger I didn’t have the opportunity to further my education. I thoroughly enjoyed both of these courses, as I was able to study whilst working around my son. In fact, I’m enrolling back in September to work towards expanding my qualifications in Childcare. I am currently completing my 140 hours work placement at a nursery in Bradford. When I have finished I either want to gain permanent employment at a nursery or become a Teaching Assistant.’ ALISON’S TUTOR SOPHIE SAYS: ‘Alison has recently started working on a voluntary basis at a nursery, which she is really enjoying. Her confidence and self esteem has improved dramatically as a result of doing the community courses.’ PREPARING TO WORK IN CHILDCARE LEVEL 2 (COMMUNITY PROVISION) Level 2 Entitlement may apply to you This qualification is aimed at people interested in working in childcare.
