ASSA ABLOY’s divisions<br />

The division manufactures and sells locks, cylinders, electromechanical<br />

products, security doors and fittings in Europe,<br />

the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Most sales take place in<br />

Western Europe, but growth markets in Eastern Europe and<br />

the Middle East are gaining in importance. Some of the division’s<br />

leading brands are ABLOY, ASSA, IKON, TESA, Yale and<br />

Vachette. The division has 12,500 employees and divisional<br />

management is based in London, United Kingdom.<br />

The division manufactures and sells locks, cylinders, electromechanical<br />

products, security doors and fittings in North<br />

and South America. Most sales take place in the United<br />

States, Canada and Mexico. South America is growing in<br />

significance, with Brazil the most important market. Some<br />

of the division’s leading brands are Corbin Russwin, Curries,<br />

Emtek, Medeco, Phillips, SARGENT and La Fonte. The division<br />

has 9,400 employees and divisional management is<br />

based in New Haven, Connecticut, USA.<br />

The division manufactures and sells locks, cylinders, electromechanical<br />

products, security doors and fittings in Asia and<br />

Oceania. The Pacific region (which includes Australia and<br />

New Zealand) accounts for a large part of sales, but China<br />

and other Asian markets are rapidly gaining in importance.<br />

China is also an important country of production. Some of<br />

the division’s leading brands are Lockwood, Guli, Wangli,<br />

Baodean, Interlock and iRevo. The division has 5,400<br />

employees and divisional management is based in Hong<br />

Kong, China.<br />

This global division manufactures and sells products for<br />

electronic access control, secure issuance of cards and<br />

identification technology, and electronic lock products for<br />

hotels. The division consists of two business units,<br />

HID Group and ASSA ABLOY Hospitality, which sell their<br />

products worldwide. Leading brands are HID, Fargo, Elsafe<br />

and VingCard. The division has 2,600 employees and<br />

divisional management is based in Stockholm, Sweden.<br />

Entrance Systems is a global division that manufactures<br />

and sells automatic door systems and service. The products<br />

are sold under the Besam and EntreMatic brands.<br />

The division engages in sales and offers its own direct<br />

service network around the world, with production in<br />

Sweden, the UK, the USA and China. The division has<br />

2,100 employees and divisional management is based<br />

in Landskrona, Sweden.<br />
