What will the extra funds from the rates increase be used for ?<br />

Depending on the option determined by the community and <strong>Council</strong> the money will be spent on a variety<br />

of asset renewal and maintenance, with an aim to better meet community expectations. The community<br />

have told us that they want more focus on roads and increased maintenance of <strong>Council</strong> assets like<br />

community halls. It is expected that works will occur through the <strong>City</strong> and will focus on those areas with<br />

the most needs and in a significant state of disrepair.<br />

What is currently spent on assets and whats needs to be spent ?<br />

Our assets are a significant cost in <strong>Council</strong>s budget. The following chart shows the asset replacement<br />
