� Padding or covering may be necessary for casts, braces or prosthetic<br />
limbs. All such padding must be approved in advance by the Technical<br />
Delegate/designee prior to the first competition <strong>of</strong> the event.<br />
� The name <strong>of</strong> the Program may be placed on the front <strong>of</strong> the jersey/shirt.<br />
The name <strong>of</strong> the Program or athlete may also be placed on the back <strong>of</strong> the<br />
athlete’s jersey/shirt.<br />
� It is required, that the team captains have on his/her jersey/shirt a stripe<br />
<strong>of</strong> 8x2 cm underlining the number on the chest.<br />
3. Points <strong>of</strong> Emphasis: Rules <strong>of</strong> Condition<br />
Teams with fewer than six (6) players to start the set will cause the set to result in<br />
forfeiture.<br />
10.16 Protests and Appeals Procedures<br />
Only the head coach or designated registered coach (in the absence <strong>of</strong> the head<br />
coach) can file a protest and must do so according to the rules <strong>of</strong> each sport.<br />
The coach must complete the protest form in order for the Sports Specific Jury to<br />
consider the protest.<br />
The protest must cite each specific violation by specific number from the rulebook<br />
with a clear definition <strong>of</strong> why the coach feels the rule was not followed.<br />
These forms will be available at the Sports Information Desk at each competition<br />
venue.<br />
Once the protest is filed, it shall be given to the Sports Information Desk which will<br />
then notify the Sports Specific Jury for a ruling. The exact time that the Sports<br />
Information Desk receives the protest will be noted on the form.<br />
The Sports Specific jury, which includes the Technical Delegate (s), Sports Manager<br />
and the Chief <strong>of</strong> Race and / or Chief <strong>of</strong> Referee, shall review the protest. Once the<br />
Sports Specific Jury has made its decision, the coach can either accept the ruling or<br />
appeal the ruling to the World Games Jury <strong>of</strong> Appeals. The World Games Jury <strong>of</strong><br />
Appeals shall consist <strong>of</strong> a representative <strong>of</strong> the GOC, a representative <strong>of</strong> <strong>Special</strong><br />
<strong>Olympics</strong>, Inc. and a designated person.<br />
Appeals against the decisions <strong>of</strong> the Sport-specific Jury are to be submitted within 60<br />
minutes <strong>of</strong> the decision <strong>of</strong> the Sport-specific Jury. All decisions made by the World<br />
