� <strong>Delegation</strong>s will have Internet Access in the Accommodation areas, where<br />

available (Wi-Fi Hot Spots) (ref: chapter 7)<br />

Front Desk<br />

The Front Desk will operate 24 hours a day and will be the first point <strong>of</strong> contact for<br />

each resident in all matters relating to the Accommodation Venue activities and<br />

services. Staff operating this service will have a thorough knowledge <strong>of</strong> the SOWSG<br />

ATHENS 2011 operating procedures and policies. Key services <strong>of</strong>fered therein will<br />

include:<br />

� Coordination <strong>of</strong> arrivals and departures<br />

� Allotment <strong>of</strong> rooms<br />

� Key distribution and collection<br />

� Answering questions about room facilities and their usage<br />

� Maintenance <strong>of</strong> room registers and authorization <strong>of</strong> room changes<br />

� Booking <strong>of</strong> meeting rooms<br />

� Coordination <strong>of</strong> housekeeping requests<br />

� Coordination <strong>of</strong> maintenance requests<br />

� Tracking lost property<br />

� Providing information about other services<br />

Sports Information Desk<br />

All information distributed at the Sports Information Desk at the competition venues<br />

will also be distributed to the pigeonholes/trays at the appropriate Sports<br />

Information Desk at the <strong>Special</strong> <strong>Olympics</strong> Villages and Accommodation Venues. For<br />

information about the services provided at the Sports Information Desk, please refer<br />

to chapter 10.5<br />

5.1.2.11 Check-in and Key Distribution<br />

All rooms will be pre-allocated in co-operation with the HOD or AHOD. The HOD or<br />

AHOD will receive the keys for the entire <strong>Delegation</strong>, once he/she completes the<br />

allotment process for his <strong>Delegation</strong> on arrival, at the accommodation. For the safety<br />
