Tourist Police<br />
A department <strong>of</strong> the Hellenic Police (EL.AS), manned by specially trained men and<br />
women, provides information and assistance to tourists. The Tourist Police are<br />
authorized to settle minor disputes between tourists and tourist businesses. Tourist<br />
Police speak foreign languages. Officers wear the insignia “Tourist Police” on the<br />
shoulder.<br />
