2.4 Useful Travel Tips<br />
� Do not forget to put the ATHENS 2011 baggage tags sent to you along with<br />
the <strong>Delegation</strong> credentials on all baggage. Each baggage should also be<br />
marked by the name <strong>of</strong> the owner and the SO Program, for example Marios<br />
Mpakamis, SO HELLAS.<br />
� You could also put tape over the closure to prevent tampering by baggage<br />
handlers. Do not put your valuables in baggage you check; e.g. jewelry,<br />
cameras, watches. Remove old airline destination tags.<br />
� Use your home or business address on your baggage tags. It is also useful to<br />
include a telephone number as well.<br />
� It is recommended that the HOD appoints a person responsible for keeping<br />
track <strong>of</strong> all baggage for his/her <strong>Delegation</strong>.<br />
� It is recommended that individuals and/or coaches have a carry-on bag with<br />
essential documents/medications, etc.<br />
� Never leave your baggage unattended in public areas especially in airports<br />
and never accept packages from strangers. Do not handle or stand close to<br />
unattended bags or items.<br />
� Never accept gifts or packages from unknown parties to carry out <strong>of</strong> the<br />
country and deliver or mail to someone they know.<br />
� Make sure you have a signed, valid passport (and any visas, if required)<br />
along with any other valid travel documents indicated by your airline.<br />
� Make two copies <strong>of</strong> your passport identification page. This will facilitate<br />
replacement if your passport is lost or stolen. Leave one copy at home with<br />
friends or relatives. Carry the other with you in a separate place from your<br />
